In a groundbreaking development, a California-based company, Reliable Robotics, recently announced the successful autonomous flight of a small cargo plane, marking a significant milestone for the aviation industry. The unmanned flight of a Cessna 208B Caravan, conducted just outside San Jose on Nov. 21, showcased the potential of cutting-edge aircraft automation systems.

Remote Supervision Breakthrough

Reliable Robotics reported that the historic flight had no pilot on board, with a remote pilot supervising the aircraft from the company’s control center located 50 miles away.
